THEA Foundation Scholarships are available in the areas of Visual Arts, Performing
Arts, Creative Writing, Fashion Design, Slam Poetry, & Film. Scholarships are for
Arkansas graduating seniors and sometimes the school the student attends will match
the THEA scholarship. Scholarships range from $2,000 – $4,000. Each area has it’s own
online registration deadline AND competition date. Our own Jasmine Willis (AHS graduate 2019) is
featured on the website. For any student who has a hobby in any of these areas, you are strongly

Technology Addiction Awareness Scholarship

Deadline: 1/30/20 Available to: High School Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5 Award Amount: $1,000 The Technology Addiction Awareness Scholarship is available to high school, undergraduate or graduate students. You must be U.S. citizen or legal resident and submit a 140-character message that relates to technology addiction to qualify for this award. BMW/SAE Engineering Scholarship – 1 scholarship will be awarded each year for $1500/ year &
the scholarship may be renewed at $1500 a year for 3 additional years (total award $6000). This annual
scholarship is provided by BMW AG in recognition of its commitment to excellence in engineering.
Eligibility Requirements: U.S. resident, 3.75 or better GPA on a 4.0 scale, Rank in the 90th percentile in
both math & critical reading on SAT I or composite ACT scores, Pursue an engineering or related
science degree through an ABET accredited program. For more information, please visit

Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship

Deadline: 1/17/20 Available to: High School Seniors through College Freshmen Award Amount: $10,000 The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship is open to current high school seniors who are currently enrolled in or who have completed an advanced placement computer science course or who have taken an advanced placement computer science test, be planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate program majoring in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or other computer-related field of study and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in order to be considered for this award.
