Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship
Michael Moody is a trainer, author, and speaker who helps inspire people to be their absolute best. As part of his mission for helping others, Michael Moody sponsors the Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship. This award supports students who are interested in pursuing careers in health, wellness, or fitness. Winning students can use the scholarship award to pay for any education-related expenses including tuition, room, board, fees, books, or even a laptop.
Who is eligible to apply?
Applicants to the Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship must:
- Be United States citizens or legal residents living or claiming residency in one of the 50 united states, Washington, D.C. or Puerto Rico.
- Be current high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate students who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States.
- Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, and participation and leadership in school activities and work experience.
- Demonstrate interest in pursuing a career and enrolled in the following majors: Athletic Training, Psychology, Biology, Kinesiology, Nursing, General Medicine, Dentistry, Behavioral Sciences, Personal Training, Physical Education Teaching and Coaching, Health and Physical Fitness, Exercise Science, Sports and Recreation Management, Health Sciences, Physical Therapist, or another health- related major.
How much is the scholarship worth?
This scholarship is worth $1,500!
How is the scholarship committee evaluating students?
Students are evaluated on a variety of factors including academic achievement, involvement in school and in their community, and work experience. Students will also be asked to complete several essays through the online application.
When is the application due?
The official deadline is July 15th. However, the scholarship will accept up to 1,000 applications. If 1,000 applications are not submitted, you have until August 1, 2020 (which is the hard deadline).

The Clark E. DeHaven Scholarship is intended to provide financial support to students who demonstrate a commitment to a foodservice career. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited program that will lead to an undergraduate degree in a field of study designed to prepare students for careers in foodservice, or related areas (see number 2 below). Awards will be made only to applicants enrolled at institutions that are members of the National Association of Colleges & University Food Services.
